Youth Club & Winter Update
As we head into November we have our second youth club session coming up as well as a festive treat at the end of the month.
Back in August we held our launch event for the Dunbeath & Berriedale youth club at Berriedale Portland Hall with BB guns, Laser Clays and Argo Rides. This drew in a fantastic group of the local teens to see what we wanted to get up!
They helped us put together suggestions of things they would like to do going forward and how often they wanted to get together.
So on Friday the 2nd of October we welcomed them along to Dunbeath Hall to do bowling, dodge-ball and table tennis, holding tournaments for each, we had an amazing turn out of 17 to challenge one another, and everyone seemed really eager to come back!
So our next youth club is coming up this Friday, the 6th of November 7pm-8:30pm, with the theme of Freaky Friday, a late Halloween and Bonfire night combo, we will be doing all the classic party games like apple bobbing and donuts on a string as well as the favourite mummy wrapping game. We're really excited for this one and cannot wait to see everyone get stuck in, costumes preferred obviously.
(Also a thank you to the members of the community who offered to donate their abundance of spare Halloween sweets to the youth club, it will be much appreciated.)
On top of planning for the youth club we are also working towards a very festive event for the end of the month, on Sunday the 29th we will be hosting a wreath making workshop, so if you fancy getting together with friends and neighbours, enjoying a bit of festive cheer and creating something lovely for your home this Christmas, then this one’s for you.
We will have limited spaces so booking is essential and we will have information out soon on how to book, keep your eyes peeled on our social media.
We cannot wait for this, it's going to be really exciting plus a continued piece of fundraising for the development trust and the things we are working towards!
What a busy little month ahead for us, keep your eyes open so you don't miss any of our news!
